If you filed your tax return with form 8863 for Tax Education Credits, you might be receiving this 8863 Letter in the mail requesting more information. Typically, this is just a request for more information relating to credit eligibility. In this case, it seems that 4 of the questions on the form are either not sending the answers or the IRS isn’t receiving the answers. Similar occurrences have been seen relating to EITC qualification questions on the 8867.
There is no cause for concern, but if you receive a letter from the IRS, in any case, be sure to answer appropriately and in a timely fashion to avoid any further delays.
