New Preparer Regulation Fees Finalized

The IRS has finalized the price that each and every tax preparer will have to pay for the coming tax season.  $64.25 must be paid for the initial registration that everyone must do for the coming 2011 tax season.  Annually after the initial registration there is a $14.24 fee.  All offices that have multiple employees, this means you must register each one.  PTIN Registration Services is slated to go back online mid September.  No specific Date has been indicated by IRS e-services as of yet.  See How the new preparer regulations effect you for more info.
