Jackson Hewitt and Liberty… NO MORE RALS!

Notice of charges for a Cease and Desist and order of hearings were issued to Republic Bank on February 9th.  Republic Bank is the bank used by Jackson Hewitt and Liberty Tax Services to provide their refund anticipation loan products for this tax season.  This order by the FDIC indicated the intent of governing bodies to terminate the 1-2 day refund loan products from the tax preparation industry.  For full info on the order and the FDIC’s stance please see Republic Bank and Trust’s 8K by clicking here.
